Ambassador Tom Loftus
Former Ambassador of Norway
Tom Loftus comes to Outrider after a lifelong commitment to public service. He was appointed the ambassador to Norway by President Bill Clinton in 1993 and performed that role for five years. Loftus was a member of the Wisconsin State Legislature from 1977-91 and the longest-serving Democratic speaker in the history of the Wisconsin Assembly. From 1998 to 2005, he was the special adviser to the Director General of the World Health Organization. He served on the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents from 2005 - 2011. Most recently, he was Senior Policy Advisor to the President of the University of Wisconsin. He lives in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
